The Story of
Tita Celia's
Tita Celia’s passion for cooking began in her hometown of Malolos, Bulacan. At just 8 years old, she was already helping in the kitchen alongside her mother, Remy, and lola, Arsenia. At 15, her family moved to Novaliches, Quezon City, where she continued to develop her skills in her mother’s restaurant.
By 28, Tita Celia had opened her own restaurants: Regino’s Bar and Grill and Big Mack Fast Food—ventures that showcased her growing culinary talent and business acumen.
In the mid-1980s, Tita Celia and her family migrated to the United States in pursuit of new opportunities. In 1990, she fulfilled her dream by opening Tita Celia’s Restaurant in Carson, California.
For over 35 years, Tita Celia’s has proudly served the community with delicious, home-style Filipino food. Thanks to her deep love for traditional flavors and the dedication of her loyal staff, the restaurant remains a beloved staple in the local Filipino-American community.
At Tita Celia’s, we serve authentic, home-cooked Filipino dishes in the traditional Turo-Turo style — freshly prepared and served throughout the day.
